The Will County Joliet Intermodal Transportation Master Plan seeks to identify transportation needs that support economic development while also sustaining or improving the quality of life for residents. As part of that endeavor, the project team conducted a virtual open house whereby the public was invited to provide their comments on the current draft project list.
This public involvement took place from June 30 - July 21, 2020. An in-person open house was initialed planned; however, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated virtual public engagement. As such, the project team developed an open-ended survey to gauge interest in the List of Potential Projects included in the Will County Joliet Intermodal Transportation Master Plan. The key objective of the survey was to gather community feedback on transportation needs in the study area. Specifically, through the survey, community members were able to:
- Identify transportation issues not addressed in planned projects or intersections being analyzed
- Provide feedback on the Will County Joliet Intermodal Transportation Master Plan list of potential projects and intersections
This opportunity for public involvement was offered online, through the SurveyMonkey platform, and in-person at six locations near the study area.
