The third approach to identifying potential capital projects in the study area is through travel demand modeling. This computer-based modeling allows the study team to understand the location of congestion points both today as well as projections for the future, assess the impacts of proposed projects, and evaluate scenarios for a series of improvements.

The results of the travel demand modeling can be viewed here. This analysis helped the project team identify low-performing locations that were included for evaluation in the Transportation Improvement Program.
