I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Workforce Center of Will County to host weekly job fair June 20

The Workforce Center of Will County will hold its weekly job fair from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20 at its location 2400 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 100, Joliet, IL. A large number of area employers offering a variety of positions will be represented at this job fair.

Among the available positions are package handlers, outside sales representatives, med-car drivers, EMTs, and forklift operators. Participants are encouraged to bring a resume, dress professionally and be ready for an interview.

“We are fortunate Will County is home to many good employers,” said Larry Walsh, Will County Executive. “The Workforce Center of Will County is the best place to find a job or to obtain additional training.”

In accordance with Tier 1 mitigation efforts instituted for Region 7, the March 3, 2021 Will County Historic Preservation Commission meeting will be held via videoconference/telephonically through the Webex Events platform. The meeting begins at 7:00pm. While the Will County Office Building located at 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet will be open, a limited number of people will be allowed inside which includes staff, Commissioners, applicants, and the public. Applicants and the public are encouraged to participate remotely by attending the virtual meeting, submitting comments before the meeting via email, or calling in during the meeting.

ATTEND REMOTELY: Go to https://willcountyillinois.webex.com/willcountyillinois/onstage/g.php?MTID=e5f75020b4e77ccea2b062d11ac5f69a9 and click "Join Now.”

EMAIL COMMENTS: Public comments will be taken via email in advance of the meeting. Please email hpc@willcountyillinois.com with your comments. Your email will be read into the record during the March 3 meeting by Land Use Department staff.
