Health services and public parking remain in operation as construction begins on new health department

Construction is now underway on the new Will County Health Department facility, to be located east of the existing building at 501 Ella Avenue. Health Department Executive Director Susan Olenek wants residents to know all services and public parking will remain available during this process.

“We have relocated our employee parking to two temporary lots off Richards Street near our campus,” Olenek said. “Convenient access to our important services is our utmost concern during this exciting time as we begin work on our new state of the art health department. We appreciate the patience of our employees and our clients.”

Services such as immunizations, environmental health, behavioral health, family health and access to birth and death records will be impacted as little as possible during this construction process.

Completion of the new Will County Health Department Building is scheduled for fall 2020.
