I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

Two Will County Emergency Management Agency employees earn special certification from international agency

During the midst of the 2020 emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, civil disturbances, and unpredictable weather, two members of the Will County Emergency Management Agency achieved the designation of Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).

Governor Pritzker holds news conference at Will County Health Department to Announce New COVID-19 Mitigation Efforts for Will and Kankakee Counties

Governor Pritzker held a press conference Tues. Aug. 25 at the Will County Health Department to announce the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) will be implementing new COVID-19 mitigation efforts in Region 7, the greater Will and Kankakee County areas, beginning Wednesday, August 26 after the region reached 8 percent positivity for three days.

Whether you’re supporting a movement, or visiting a farmer’s market, you should be wearing your mask outdoors in public spaces. Please do your part to help slow the spread and remember to wear your mask outdoors when you are unable to keep a safe 6ft distance from others.

Will County Launches its CARES Act Small Business Assistance Grant Program

Small businesses impacted by COVID-19 may be eligible for up to $15,000 in grant assistance. Applications accepted Aug 24-Sep 28, 2020.

Will County officials are encouraging any small business owner impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for relief funding. Through the CARES Act recently passed by the U.S. Congress, Will County will receive more than $120 million of this federal funding, of which $24 million is earmarked for small businesses.
