I am honored to serve as your Will County Executive. As a lifelong resident of this great county, I have witnessed many changes as we have evolved from an ag-community to a major hub in the global distribution market.  I am dedicated to building upon this status but I am equally dedicated to maintaining the quality of life for the nearly 700,000 residents and thousands of businesses and organizations that call Will County home.

WILL COUNTY – Will County Executive Larry Walsh and the acting Chief Judge David Carlson have announced the closure of most County buildings on Wednesday, Jan. 30, and they will reopen at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Mobile Workforce Center February schedule released

The February schedule for the Mobile Workforce Center of Will County has been released.  The mobile unit travels throughout Will County to help residents with resume development, cover letters and job applications. The workforce center contains 11 computer stations, internet access, and offers keyboarding lessons, as well as resume and job search assistance using online listings including jobs4people.org and Illinois workNet.

WCWC releases February workshop schedule

The Workforce Center of Will County February schedule has been released. Career Cafe will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 5 and 19. Career Cafe is a networking event designed to connect people looking for work. In addition to sharing tips with other job seekers and learning job search techniques, participants will hear from guest speakers sharing their hiring expertise.

JTHS Hosting Wake Up Call Substance Abuse Awareness Event

Joliet Township High School will host a Wake-Up Call Substance Abuse Awareness Event on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Joliet West High School, 401 N. Larkin Avenue. The event is free and open to all members of the public 21 years of age and older. Dinner will be provided from 5:00-6:15 PM and a resource fair will take place from 5:00-6:30 PM. Free childcare is available.
