NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC DISPLAY PERIOD
FOR THE FY2018 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2018
THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 FOR WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Notice is hereby given that Will County, IL will hold a public hearing on MAY 24, 2018 AT 1 P.M.

The County Board room is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. If special arrangements need to be made to accommodate residents in order for them to participate in the public hearing, including a Spanish interpreter, please call Mr. Ronald Pullman, Director, Community Development Division, at (815) 774-7890, to make those arrangements.
The purpose of the public hearing is to entertain comments and funding considerations for the County’s FY 2018 Annual Action Plan for its housing and community development needs and to present the proposed funding for the FY 2018 Annual Action Plan for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs funds, and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME). The County Action Plan includes proposed spending of HOME Consortium funds in Will County, the City of Joliet and Village of Bolingbrook, The County intends to submit its FY 2018 Annual Action Plan in the amount of $2,090,783 for Community Development Block Grant funds and $1,284,391 for HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) CONSORTIUM funds, and $141,915 for its ESG program. These amounts are based on published HUD allocations. The FY 2018 Annual Action Plan will be submitted to HUD on or before August 15, 2018.
In order to obtain the views of residents, public agencies, and other interested parties, the County and City of Joliet will place its FY 2018 Annual Action Plan on display from June 1st through June 30th 2018, at the following location during normal operational hours:

These documents will be available for examination during normal business hours of operation for a period of thirty (30) days beginning June 1, 2018. The plans will be submitted to the Will County Board at its regularly scheduled board meeting the morning of July 19, 2018, at which time these documents will be presented to the Will County Board for approval at its regular meeting.
If the County or the City of Joliet would undertake an activity that would result in the displacement of families or individuals, then the County/City would utilize their existing anti displacement policy, and settle agreements, for minimizing such displacement. Furthermore, the County is responsible for replacing all low- and moderate-income housing units that may be demolished or converted as a result the use of CDBG or HOME Funds.
All interested persons, groups, and organizations are encouraged to attend this public hearing and will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony concerning the proposed FY 2018 Annual Action Plan.
