The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the installation of aerial cables on four bridges over the Des Plaines River in Joliet which will require short-term full bridge closures, starting at 7 a.m. Monday, April 20, weather permitting.

Despite extraordinary efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19, officials from Sunny Hill Nursing Home, the Will County-owned skilled nursing care facility, have reported one resident has tested positive for the virus.

The County building will reopen on Monday, April 13 for limited public access as a result of changes in county services due to COVID 19.
