The Workforce Center of Will County August schedule, including a new workshop, has been released.

Will, Cook, DuPage and Kane counties have joined with Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) and Citizen Utility Board (CUB) to coordinate a group buy for solar panels and installation.

Will County’s annual three-day book recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 31-June 2 at Joliet Park District’s Pilcher Park Nature Center, 2501 Highland Park Drive.

Will County took in a record shattering12,298 pounds of textiles during its annual week-long collection event which ended May 3.

The Will County Land Use Department’s Resource Recovery and Energy Division, along with Joliet Franciscan Sisters and University of St. Francis, will host a free document destruction event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18.
