Will County seeks to solicit proposals from qualified individuals or firms to assist the County in the interior and exterior cleanup of a house located at 2928 W. Indiana Avenue in Beecher, IL 60401.

Services include:

  • Cleanup of interior of house
  • Removal of debris and garbage around exterior of house

Due to the unforeseen inclement weather, the due date for the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Residential and Commercial Asbestos Services has been extended to Friday, February 1st at 12:00pm.

No proposals will be accepted after this deadline.

PURPOSE:

In accordance with the Asbestos Abatement Act for Public and Private Schools, the Commercial and Public Building Act and Code, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) shall license asbestos abatement contracting companies that conduct response actions to remove, encapsulate or enclose friable asbestos-containing building materials. The contractor shall meet the qualifications commensurate with Section 855.110 (b) of the Asbestos Abatement for Public and Private Schools and Commercial and Public Buildings Act and Code; Will County seeks to solicit proposals from qualified individuals or firms to assist the County in obtaining asbestos inspections, cost estimating services, asbestos abatement projection, and/or remediation for properties scheduled for demolition, rehabilitation, and/or acquisition.

The Will County Historic Preservation Commission meets regularly the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The following are the anticipated meeting dates for the 2019 calendar year:    January 2, February 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 10 (this is the second Wednesday), August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4. The meetings are held at the Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, Illinois. Meetings may be added or changed by the Commission as deemed necessary. If you have any questions, please call the Will County Land Use Department at (815) 774-7896.
