Please take notice that the regular monthly meeting of the Will County Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) scheduled for Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The meeting was to be held at the Forest Preserve District of Will County Office located at 17540 W. Laraway Rd., Joliet, IL. The next HPC meeting will be held on Wednesday, february 4, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Forest Preserve District Office on Laraway. Governor Quinn Announces Major I-55/Weber Road Improvement Project Moving Forward Reconstructed Interchange and Weber Road Upgrades Will Accommodate Increased Traffic - Oct. 27, 2014

ROMEOVILLE – Governor Pat Quinn today announced that the $69.2 million Interstate 55/Weber Road improvement project in Will County is moving forward, with the first construction projects to be awarded soon. The state of Illinois and Will County are sharing the cost of the project, with the state's share coming from Governor Quinn's Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program

Road Work Planned for U.S. 6 in Will County - Sunday, October 26, 2014

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) today announced that roadwork will begin on both directions of U.S. 6, between McClintock Road and Interstate 55, in Will County, for a pavement resurfacing project. The project will begin; weather permitting, on Monday, Oct. 27, with a tentative completion date of late November.

Joliet – Since October 10, when the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the first U.S. Ebola fatality, the Will County Health Department has fielded several public inquiries regarding Ebola. In light of public concerns, the Health Department wishes to provide area residents with the most current and relevant Ebola information so that everyone has the facts.

JOLIET – For the 12th consecutive time, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has recognized Will County with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (CAFR). This certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
