Job SummaryUnder direction of the Assistant Court Administrator, the Law Librarian is responsible for the overall operation of the Law Library. The position requires the exercise of considerable judgment and initiative in developing library policies and programs, handling legal research questions, selecting appropriate library resources, and managing the law library budget and financial system. Managing and directing the day-to-day activities in the law library inclusive of basic customer service for library patrons. Coordinating law library operations with other paid and volunteer staff assigned to assist library patrons and self-represented litigants. Answering legal research questions.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferred Candidates should have a general knowledge of Courts and the Judicial System particularly within the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. Candidates with a degree in library sciences or having a work history within a library or a related field are preferred. Prior experience working within the legal system may be considered in the selection process. Starting salary within the included salary range will be determined based on prior work experience and educational requirements.
