Job SummaryAssist in planning, writing, and managing external communication materials. Assists with various production and distribution options such as videos, internal and external newsletters, and other communications. Assist in publishing Board meeting videos, related products, and the County’s Boards’ photo/design archives. Assist with research topics. Assist with updating websites, social media platforms, editorial and event calendars. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of office environment and pertinent documents. Attend committee/board meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Regular, predictable and punctual attendance required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Ability to work remotely as directed by the Chief of Staff.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates are working towards (or already hold) an accredited bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, marketing, business administration, or a related field required. Experience in the use of social media, digital engagement, and web content management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and related software; General Office Equipment (e.g., computer, printer, fax, copier, etc.) Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Salary Range$15/hr
