Job Title NoteWill County Court Services – River Valley Detention Center
Job SummaryProviding clinical services to court-involved youth and their families for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court; Completing facility mental health intakes on all detained youth within a specific time frame; Providing as-needed clinical interventions (crisis management, brief, solution-focused therapy, etc.) for detained youth; Providing court-ordered individual, family, and/or group therapy services for both detained and out-patient youth; Maintaining a fluctuating caseload of detained and out-patient youth; Organizing and co-leading psycho-educational groups with students from our training department and/or other clinical staff members for detained youth; Assessing youth on various facility statuses (suicide watch, close observation, segregation, etc.); Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours crisis management (evenings, weekends, and holidays); Assisting staff psychologists in the administration of psychological measures and/or completion of clinical/parent interviews when appropriate and needed; Assisting in case management of detained youth (e.g. monitoring court orders; assigning cases to clinical staff members and students, etc.); Providing consultation/testimony in juvenile court proceedings when necessary; Serving as a case manager/liaison to court-involved youth and their families in locating, arranging, and providing linkage to treatment services that are outside the scope of the clinical and non-clinical services provided at RVDC (e.g. specialized psychotherapeutic providers / services, specialized assessments and/or diagnostic services, etc.); Finally, providing additional non-clinical duties as assigned and deemed necessary to assist the mental health department (e.g. filing, data collection, answering calls, etc.).
Minimum QualificationsMaster’s Degree in clinical/counseling psychology or social work; an active State of Illinois licensure in good standing (LCSW or LCPC); experience working with at-risk youth and their families; finally, familiarity with the court system and/or the juvenile justice system is a plus. In addition to the minimum qualifications, the successful candidate will have demonstrated abilities in the following skills:  Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills  Strong Interpersonal Skills  Problem Analysis and Team Building  Application of Judgment and Decision-Making Skills  Planning and Organizational Skills
Salary Range$58,000
