Job SummaryComplete court-ordered forensic evaluations, including competency to stand trial evaluations, criminal responsibility evaluations, and sex offender evaluations for in-custody and out of custody adult and juvenile defendants for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court. Appear in Court when necessary to provide testimony on cases. Provide clinical supervision to diagnostic and/or advanced pre-doctoral students when assigned. Participate in on-call, 24/7 mental health crisis rotation. Additional duties may also include completing court-ordered psychological evaluations and screens on detained and out-of-custody court-involved youth, as well as maintaining a caseload of detained youth to provide psychotherapy. The licensed clinical psychologist may also be responsible for facilitating weekly psycho-educational group therapy sessions with detained youth if needed, as well as providing crisis intervention, disciplinary reviews, and segregation check services with at-risk youth detained at RVDC. Finally, the licensed clinical psychologist will maintain adequate records of all clinical work as outlined under the ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) and RVDC protocol. The candidate may also complete special projects as indicated by the Chief and Assistant Chief Psychologist.
Minimum QualificationsA Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and current, active license to practice in the State of Illinois; Experience conducting Forensic Evaluations; Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator (LSOE) preferred but not required.
Salary RangeStarting Range of $66,000 to $72,000 annually
