The NADWP recognizes the critical link workforce development professionals provide between businesses, job seekers, education and training resources. Locally, the Workforce Center of Will County (WCWC) professionals have worked hard to attain credentials and certifications specific to the employment industry.“I am very proud of Susan Flessner, manager of the WCWC, and her entire staff for the high level of professionalism, employer connections, and training maintained by this department,” said Will County Executive Denise Winfrey. “All of them work hard to provide important services to both employers and job seekers. As our county continues to grow, so do job opportunities and the need for qualified, well-trained people to fill these jobs.”Flessner said the staff is certified through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches as well as the Center for Credentialing and Education. The training the staff receives from these organizations ensures they are up to date on the latest trends in job searches and job training.“Our staff possess a wide range of skills and they are well trained and ready to assist our residents in job searches,” she said. “Additionally, we have staff who specialize in working with local businesses to address their workforce recruiting and training needs.”Some of the certifications include Certified Professional Resume Writer, Certified Professional Career Coach, and Global Career Development Facilitator.
